Tontu makes functional accessories for sauna and cold water, designed by people who use both.
We design around the conditions they’ll be used in — heat, cold and water — and choose materials accordingly.
What we Make
Our wool products are knitted and then fulled. Fulling uses heat, water and agitation to partially interlock the wool fibres, making the finished fabric more durable and better suited to regular use.Other products use different materials and methods depending on what they need to do.
What we Value
Good materials, simple design and making things properly.We want to make products that work well, feel good to use and last.
Our Approach
We make in small batches and try to keep waste to a minimum.
Wool is renewable, biodegradable and naturally durable. Our wool products are made from 100% wool, without synthetic fibres.
We keep packaging simple, avoid unnecessary materials where we can, and make products intended to be used again and again.
